What do Happy Days and Star Trek have in Common?

No two things are completely different from one another. Now, I’m sure many of you out there are like me and thoroughly enjoy nitpicking away at authoritative statements. This attitude is welcome, but before protesting, please consider the following example.

The cherished classic sitcom, Happy Days, and the latest Star Trek movie, despite being worlds apart in genre, budget, and time frame both teach us the same lesson: All technology, whether it is a 1950’s juke box or a 23rd century starship, can be fixed by giving it a few good, solid whacks.
